⭕ FACT: NO! You have up to 5 years to claim the 20.42% tax refund on your Lumpsum Pension.

Under Japanese tax law, you can apply for your 20.42% tax refund for up to 5 years after receiving your Lumpsum Pension (Dattai Ichijikin). We can act as your tax representative — you do not need to return to Japan, and we'll deliver your refund directly to your overseas account.
